1979-1992 Merseyside AM station list by frequency - Compiled By G Hogg

Many thanks to Tim Jackson for his Merseyside Reports in the 1980's which helped to compile some of the history of the above stations.

Some early Merseyside radio history can be found in a set of 1971-1973 Cheshire Free Radio Organisation Newsletters
which are by kind courtesy of Rodger Dee. In those days, some areas currently in Merseyside were in the old counties of Lancashire and Cheshire.

Further detailed Merseyside Free Radio history and memorabilia can be found at the MERSEYPIRATES web site.

Additional recordings from Merseyside and a huge amount of material from other areas of the UK can be found at The Pirate Archive web site.
