Thanks to Benen for supplying the following information on County Sound FM, as well as the above logo and his business card below. County Sound FM originated from Tuam for its first 6 - 8 months but then moved studios to Galway where it broadcast on 101FM from Prospect Hill in the city, on 94.3FM from Abbeyknockmoy (for the county) and locally on 98.5FM to Ballinasloe and West Roscommon. The station broadcast live 24hrs/day and was by far the most listened to in the county from it's inception on March 17th 1987 right up to closure at midnight on December 31st 1988. |
