From
the 1976 issue, and the very first WORLD RADIO TELEVISION HANDBOOK I
owned when I started DXing. I used to read this article over and over
again and dream because I couldn't go west or north west because I would
be running across the main road etc!! It's great how long it takes to
use your imagination...!! In the same volume, there was a longer article about MWDXING in the Western Hemisphere by Thomas Sundstrom. I also used to read this all the time as well, and wonder in awe about using the beverage antennas!! THIS ARTICLE CAN BE FOUND HERE. (12 MEG) I have e mailed the WRTH re permission to use these articles, but received no response. It was 1976 mind you... 30 odd years ago. The WRTH was a completely different outfit then. |
