KEN'S DX DIARY AND LOGS - THURSDAY 1st OCTOBER 2015

NOTES FROM TODAY:

I have been hearing some decent signals over the last couple of days after all. Oddly the major New Yorkers are not as loud as they might have been. eg WINS 1010 was a mush, as was WCBS, although 1130 WBBR was booming, and WWKB was also up to speed again.

I have also noticed that Greenland on 570 is coming through again. I may make a little montage some day soon of the stuff that has been coming in over the last days.....

Working this Saturday, so won't really have the chance to get back to the woods and do some rewiring. Also struggled tonight trying to find drums of solder in the mess I used to call a radio shack!!! So no soldering of joints tonight.

Oh yes, and still finding it outrageous that the main antenna was connected to earth!!
