On Saturday 23rd February 2008, I went on a field trip into Glasgow to meet Alex from Celtic Music Radio, the new Glasgow radio station on 1530kHz. The station is located in a sewerage plant in Govan, on the South side of the River Clyde. The mast is a little way down the river from the sparkling new BBC building, also pictured above, with the world famous WAVERLEY paddle steamer in it's shadows. The SECC exhibition centre is more or less across the river from the BBC. On the short walk from the BBC to CMR, a local low power FM station, Sunny Govan Radio is seen.

Unfortunately I could only take a photo of the transmitter and AM OPTIMOD through a crack in the door, as the new key which had been cut, did not work!!

The studio is high on the 13th floor of the LIVINGSTONE TOWER in the city. Views over Glasgow are stunning.

Output power ERP is around 70Watts erp.
