Radio Tarkwa operated in 1995 and 1996 on 105.8MHz and the
transmissions at times were received over a large area around
Merseyside. According to a report in Concept Radio News they were raided on
15th December 1996 apparently following a complaint from an RSL called
South Flintshire Radio who had been allocated the same frequency. The
operator was fined an excessive £350, with £350 costs on top. |

| 1996_05_05_sun_tarkwa_1058fm_airchecks_to_signoff-ghe681.mp3 New Feb 2026 | Some Radio Tarkwa airchecks from possibly Sunday 5th May 1996. It starts with a sign-off at lunchtime, and then later on that day leading up to another signoff. It was announced just before sign-off, that it was the end of the Summer broadcasts, and the station would not be back until the Autumn, which suggests the date noted on the tape may be wrong. As received on 105.8MHz near Blackpool. |
