Telstar South broadcast to London from 1976 until at least 1980 on 92.8MHz,
originally
for just one hour per week between 7pm and 8pm on a Sunday evening.
Despite the brief broadcast times, the station was extremely popular in
the days when the only legal alternatives were BBC Radio 1 and Capital
Radio. The format was golden oldies, something that was to
be copied two decades later by todays so called 'gold' stations |

The recording is airchecked as the signal was a bit weak at the receiving location in North London. Dave Reading hosts and is asking for help to keep the station on the air. |
